February 21…

Within the last several years this is the first time I am missing the Book Fair in Dhaka… and I am really missing that fair. To be frankly, this is the only fair that allured me. The fascinating well gournished book stalls, the smell of newly publish books, exploring the fair with friends and family… all of those I am terribly missing.

The word "MOTHER" in 30 different languages

And today is February 21… The International Mother Language Day. A memorable day in the history of Bangladesh. It is the 57th anniversary of  “Ekushey February” this year. Within this span of time has acquire its own place in online. The number of Bangladeshi bloggers as well as Bangla blogs are increasing day by day. People are now writing their blogs in Bangla. All of these happen because of sacrifices of some great people in 1952. My gratitude to those who sacrificed their lives for establishing Bangla Language on 1952 and to the all languages of this world. Each language is like a soul which has its own fascinating beauty.

Everything can change, but not the language that we carry inside us, like a world more exclusive and final than one’s mother’s womb.

Cool Avatar Generator!

Many people are looking for creating a cool avatar for their internet identity. And maximum of them are ended up by downloading some pictures from the Google-Search. Well… there are few sites which provides users to create their own custom characters. One of them is UNIQUE by Rasterboy and another is Yahoo AVATARS.

The only problem I’ve faced is that there is no option for downloading the image of the created avatars. So for that purposes the only solution that came to my head is the using of Prnt Scrn button of keyboard. After finishing the avatar, just press the PRNT SCRN button then paste the image in any image editing software like Photoshop, ACDSee or MS Paint. And crop the avater from the whole picture then save it as JPG or BMP or PNG. Then you’re done.

Another site is Face Your Manga, where you can create your avatar with manga flavor in it. But they don’t allow a full length (head-to-toe) avatar. So if you want a full length then this site is not appropriate for you.

On the other hand DoppleMe gives the opportunity to create a full length but tiny and simple avatars. Only bottleneck of this site is that for creating a avatar, registration to that site is required.

Simpsons Movie sites provides the avatars which are customizable and which resembles the same pattern of darwing used in The Simosons.

Like the previous one, South Park Studois provides the oppertunity to create an avatar with the essence of the popular characters of South Park. One attractive function of this site is that, you can choose your avatar of different ages, which option is not included in the previous sites.

37th Victory Day

bd_flags

It is the year 2008. And we gonna celebrate the 37Th anniversary of our victory of the liberation war of 1971.

What changes took places during these years after the freedom? Actually nothing. Our beloved (!?!) political leaders are making our country cripple. No one bother about the patriotism. Patriotism is a word that is found only in books. The Razakars (opposers of the liberation war and the culprits of genocide) were roaming the country fearlessly and without any hesitation. They don’t feel any apology for their misdeeds in 1971. Once who tried to destroy us, now we want to elect them as our leader – is that why our freedom fighters fought? Was that their dream?

37 years have been passed and we are waiting for a true leader who will guide us to the way for which our martyrs sacrificed themselves.

Waiting to see a Razakar free prosperous Bangladesh. This is the only that came to my heart in this victory day.
