Rubel Hossain grabbed four wickets as Bangladesh completed a sweep with a thrilling three-run victory over New Zealand in the fifth and final one-day international on Sunday. The fast bowler finished with 4-25 off 9.3 sharp overs as New Zealand, chasing a 175-run target, were bowled out for 171 in the last over. Bravo Rubel! Bravo!

This is the first sweep ever for Bangladesh against any giant team. Bangladesh also secures the 8th place in the ICC rankings table along side the West Indies, achieving a total rating of 67. And we hope that, this is just the beginning… beginning of a new era of Bangladesh cricket team!!

Go ahead Tigers! Roar aloud! Show the world your new identity – the identity of a winner!

It’s Cricket! It’s Bangladesh!!

Congratulation Bangladesh Cricket team, more precisely – “THE TIGERS”! Thanks a lot for giving us an occasion to celebrate! Thank you Tigers!!

The whole nation enjoyed the lap of honor of the Tigers yesterday. Actually, it’s not often that Bangladesh get to perform a lap of honor, but yesterday after wrapping up a three-nil series win over the Kiwis, the Tigers fully deserved that! Not everyday Bangladesh play like the tigers, but this team seems to break that concept. What to say! Shakib Al Hasan, the skipper of Bangladesh team, smashed a magnificent 106 to steer Bangladesh to 241, then took 3 wickets within 54 runs and dismissed the Kiwis for 232. Not only him but also the whole team played marvelous. It looks like, the tigers are now more matured. They know how to win. After the fourth match, Bangladesh’s side is now 3-0 up in the five-match series. And we are looking forward to the very last match of the series, which will decide whether the Kiwis will be whitewashed or not.

We know you can win that match too! We know you can whitewash the Kiwis. So the Tigers, just do it and make us proud once again!

It seems that good news are kept on knocking the door of Bangladesh Cricket! Bangladeshi hard-hitter Tamim Iqbal outclassed all the world’s top cricketers, including some legends of the Game, to lead the list of Wisden Test Cricketer of the Year!

Congratulation Tamim!

The Wisden Cricketers of the Year are cricketers selected for the honor by the annual publication Wisden Cricketers’ Almanack.
